Basic hotel, small, somewhat faded room but clean, with free wifi that works fine. Surprisingly large bathroom with shower and Japanese style bath. Lots of shower gel etc, toothbrush and razor provided. No wardrobes, just hangers.
2 mins from Maranouchi line underground stop and plenty of cheap bars, convenience stores and eating places nearby.
For a budget city break or for a short low-cost business trip, it's an excellent choice.
We booked Hotel Nuts simply because the name appealed to our sense of humor. Glad we did - very friendly and helpful staff (seemed family run). The room and amenities were a little dated - we suspected it may have served as a "love hotel" in a past life, but it was comfortable enough. Very conveniently located very close to a big choice for restaurants (highly recommend the Indian place on the main corner, 2nd floor), convenience store and of course the station. Exit number 2 has a lift, for those who followed the site's advice and took Exit 1, only to have to carry suitcases up the flights of stairs!
The rooms at City NUTS are very small!!! If there are 3 of you, don't expect to be able to move around easily. There's not wardrobe, but you can hang coats on the wall in the entryway. On the brighter side, all the staff are very helpful!!! It's about a 15 minute walk from JR Shinjuku station which gives you access to most places you'll want to go in Tokyo. Shinjuku station is the busiest train station in Tokyo, so be patient and follow the signs which are in Japanese and English.
Overall good value for money. Very convenient location to travel to Shinjuku - the metro station is just around the corner. There are quite a few convenient shops in the area as well. Hotel staff is very friendly and speak some English.
Fairly priced and clean accommodation. Excellent location within 5 mins walk to the nearest subway station. The space has been maximised with many space-saving features like collapsible tables. Overall, good value for money.
I was really pleased with this hotel, although the staff's English was limited it didn't inhibit a great experience. While the sleeping area of the room was small, it was clean and had all I needed for a few nights, including wifi. The bathroom was somewhat unique and I assume very Japanese with a spa bath and large shower combined. The hotel provided an excellent variety of complimentary toiletries including toothbrush, face wash etc. It was conveniently located walking distance to Shinjuku but in a quiet area. I would definitely stay again.
Location was great, abt 10 mins walk to all the shops at shinjuku and the station is like 5 mins away. And main shinjuku station is only abt 15 mins walk away, so u can actually walk there and save on the transit train fare. The staffs of the hotel was very helpful even if they can't really understand us as Not all of them understand English well. But the hotel outlook is really like a love hotel. The room we had was not even fully painted. But if u are on budget or young group, the hotel is really great.... Especially they had the room for 5 paxs. Not recommend for family wif kids....
