Good hostel on the outskirts
Had a great time here, staff was extremely helpful and would spend the time it takes to solve the particular question asked :)
In retrospect it would have been easier to have a hostel nearer to central Tokyo, but it would not have made much of a difference (40 mins travel per day difference) except for the case when you miss the last metro and have to get a taxi back (walking is not an option from say Ginza).
The curfew was not a problem for us as we were back by 24 each day; however if one wants to stay out late it is possible to get a key to the front door.
The room was a bit small in my opinion, but this was compensated by the good showers.

This is a great place to stay and get know a lot of people from all over the world and to exchange experiences about Japan and Tokyo.
All the staff is very helpful and friendly.
The rooms are small for sure but this wasn`t a problem for me at all.

It was truely lovely place...it was cozy, clean...and especailly good for budget traveller. It was perfact choice for me since I was planning to go aroud 'Asakusa and Ueno station area'. If you stay there, you can go to thoes area by train and bus as well.(However, what I felt was train station is little far from Aizuya Inn.I think this is the only downside.)Every staffs was so kind!!!!I'd love to visit again!!

I had excellent service and a very enjoyable time at the Aizuya Inn. The staff were very helpful - particularly Raoul and Satchko - the two people with whom I had the most contact. If I return to Tokyo (and I probably will), I'll stay at the Aizuya Inn again.
