Good value for money
I was given a small room, in the tradition Japanese style (i.e. sleeping on floor). It was basic but quite comfortable. The price of the room was low, so it was good value. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Great Value!
Great little hotel! I was impressed with the cleanliness and the friendly staff. The room itself was very basic, just a mat on the floor to sleep on, but it was private which was great. The hotel provides everything you'd need, from laundry to a kitchen to advice on places to see. Would definitely stay again!

Just nice
A friend booked the room for me, so I didn't know it was a hostel when I arrived. I thought it was an "inn". But that was OK. The staff was very friendly at check-in and check-out -- they both seemed very professional, while maintaining a friendly atmosphere. Very helpful. The single room is only 3200 yen, which is a great price, but there's nothing in the room and you have to pay for the shower ... There's nothing wrong with it -- clean, simple, friendly staff -- but if you just pay a couple thousand more yen ($20-$30) more, you can get a normal hotel room with your own bathroom/shower, a bed (rather than the futon), and other hotel amenities. Although I was only there one night, I liked the home-like atmosphere and the fact that they provided instructions for everything in English, as well as free wi-fi, cheap bicycle rentals, etc. Nice place.

It has a pretty good location - at 10 mins from the nearest subway station (Minami-senju station). Friendly and helpful counter staff who could communicate well in English.
Good for budget travellers, but not ideal for family stays. Be forewarned that the rooms can be very tiny, and those not used to it might feel a little claustrophobic. The toilets and stairways are very crammed and oif low ceiling.
On the whole, quite good value for money though.

Simple and easy!
I had no trouble finding Aizuya Inn from the provided directions; it's located close enough to all the major subway lines to be nice. It's clean, quiet, and friendly. Asakusa really is a brief walk away, Ueno and Akihabara are a scant 5 minutes, and there's enough food and small supermarkets around to keep you fed at all hours. I never had to use it, but they also provide a special key to anyone who might be out after the doors lock at 12:30pm. Having no curfew is a nice quality in a hostel.
The only thing I would change is that you have to pay for the showers. It's 100yen per 5 minutes, which when you take the exchange rate into account meant my 15 minute showers cost me more than $3 a piece. And since you can't put all the money in at once, I had to make sure I wasn't shampooing when it ran out, because I would have to grope for the coin slot to start the shower up again.
Overall, a good place to stay.

Good hostel on the outskirts
Had a great time here, staff was extremely helpful and would spend the time it takes to solve the particular question asked :)
In retrospect it would have been easier to have a hostel nearer to central Tokyo, but it would not have made much of a difference (40 mins travel per day difference) except for the case when you miss the last metro and have to get a taxi back (walking is not an option from say Ginza).
The curfew was not a problem for us as we were back by 24 each day; however if one wants to stay out late it is possible to get a key to the front door.
The room was a bit small in my opinion, but this was compensated by the good showers.
