The photos of the hotel are misleading. Our room had no view! Only a few rooms could possibly claim to have the mountain view shown on the website. It was also the only room I had ever occupied with a bath actually in the room with the bed! (toilet and shower separate!)The beakfast was adequate but not available til 7.00am (OK this doesn't sound bad but in Luang Prabang seeing the monks in the early morning is a big tourist draw and if you can't get an early breakfast you have to go out hungry - also nothing available on the day we left for airport at 6.30am)
On the plus side, it's in a brilliant location for the town, and it was very comfortable and clean.
There's a wealth of accommodation in LP at this time of the year so it's unlikely I would recommend this place specifically to others, not because there's anything wrong with it, just not outstanding.

Bathtub in a bedroom
The View Pavilion is located in a quiet part of town, near beautiful temples. The rooms are spacious but have a bizarre configuration (the bathtubs are in the bedrooms, and the showers in the toilet!), and no view (what could be a small garden is taken up by a passageway). The hotel has good potential, but at that price, one can find a better deal nearby. The staff is very friendly.
View Pavilion
The hotel was great, location was just right, easy walking distance to night market etc, but away from any noise. Lovely room, though breakfast was a bit boring
Womderful location in the heart of Luang...
Womderful location in the heart of Luang Prabang and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Room was exceptionally clean and had a marvellous view so the place is aptly named. Great breakfast included!
