The decor of the hotel is very artistic and tries to incorporate the elements of Lao or Indochinese culture.
The location is excellent on the Mekong riverside and right across the road from food vendors. Down the road are restaurants, minimarts, cafes and tourist attractions like Wat Sisaket, Ho Phra Kaew.
The pictures posted in Asiarooms are the deluxe rooms. The standard room is small, the bathroom is a fair size. This explains the big price difference between the standard and deluxe rooms.
TV has more than 20 satellite channels.
Breakfast is okay with a rather limited selection. The restaurant's decor is themed like the rest of the hotel - traditional artistic.
An added bonus is the free internet until 11pm, available at 2 terminals just next to the lift.
Frontline staff speak good English and are polite.
In October 2007, construction work was taking place at the plot of land next to the hotel. Could feel the piling in the daytime.
Overall excellent location and reasonable value.
