The room we stayed in was newly...
The room we stayed in was newly refurbished, so it was clean and pleasant. The staff at the reception counter should be more well-versed with the transport system and tourist spots. We received different answers for the same question posed to different staff. They should be able to advise their guests appropriately so as not to inconveniece them. The shuttle bus service to the ferry terminal is very useful but they should also provide transfer to the airport via the shuttle buses, too.

Thanks to asiarooms my reservation was in order when my family, 2 kids included, arrived on the night of 19 Jan 2006. The location is fantastic. A walking tour is possible by just taking a 5 minute stroll to the Senate Square as a start off point. Lots of eateries nearby and for sensitive stomachs, McDonalds is also just around the block. The room size was moderate considering the price. The bathroom was squeaky clean and huge at that. For the price offered by asiarooms, I was happy that the rate comes with buffet breakfast. Though there is still the language barrier, the staff of the hotel did their best to cater to our needs. My only complaint is that the beds and pillows were hard. Other than that everything was great. thanks asiarooms and thanks metropole. I would recommend this site and this hotel to friends.
The hotel is located in the city...
The hotel is located in the city centre. The room was ok, however the beds are not really comfortable. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The interior of the breakfast room is quite old and the breakfast itself of low quality and there is not a wide variety of food to choose from. To sum up, I think the hotel is a little bit too expensive for what it has to offer. You should not stay here if you find something more reasonably priced.

This is undeniably the best hotel resort for practical travelers like me. We stayed there last weekend and we didn't expect the place to be so good. It's very accessible and convenient. It is situated right at the heart of the city. It's just a 3 minutes walk from the Senado Square. It's also 20 steps away fromt the supermarket (no 7-Eleven around) and when you turn right on the corner, you'll spot Mc Donald's. It's also close to the bus stations. Very accommodating and nice hotel staff. Two thumbs up for Metropole! :D

The hotel is just a 3 minute walk away from Macau´s main square. Also the main casinos are in esay walking distance. The rooms are alright. The staff was helpful. The hotel offer a free shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal. They got their own small bus and if it isn´t there you can also take the shuttle bus of the Ritz hotel.

Yes.. definately would recommend it.. the hotel is great for its value and near the centre of Macau Square, making it very convenient.
