The room is having some kind of weird smell
The Suite in hotel was still alright and it looks like been refurbish recently but the bed is hard. The standard room need to do the major refurbish on the wardrobe n bed. The wooden door of the wardrobe hardly can open and the bed is hard so is not so comfortable. The overall washroom condition is better than the room condition as it look clean. The sofa set at the lobby need to change as well. Overall the hotel furniture is abit old and need a renovation. One good things on this hotel is the location is strategy and near to touirst place like sernado square.

Metropole hotel
The location for this hotel is extremely great! few minutes walk to Senando Square and those bus or Taxi Stand are just around the hotel. The hotel staffs are friendly, even the bell boy also quite helpful. The only negative thing is: the hotel building is quite old and it doesn't look like a 3 or 4 star hotel. We pay for 4 star hotel rate but got 2 star hotel facilities.
Tips: as per hotel staff's advice, do look for a travel agency for transport to the hotel. It will be more cheaper if compare with taking taxi directly to hotel. we pay HKD240.00 for a 15mins trip (2 taxi for 6 persons) and the hotel staff said that we can take a 7 seater van by paying around HKD150.00 per trip.

good value and excellent location
I stayed at this hotel in February and again in October. On both occasions the room was clean, tidy and perfunctory. I stayed in a room with no windows during my stay in February; it can be uncomfortable if you are not used to continual artifical lighting. On the second occasion the seventh floor room had windows overlooking the main street; the natural light made the room feel spacious and you get views of the Hotel Lisbao. The location of this hotel is its best advantage. It is within walking distance to Senado Square and the buses along the main road. Great value for the location and if you are not after luxury.

The location wss quite accessible to Senado...
The location wss quite accessible to Senado square, Ruins of St Paul and the souvenir shops. However, it's a bit hard to get taxi just outside the hotel and have to walk to another main street. The bathroom was reasonably clean. The only thing was that the beds were not too comfortable for sleeping because of the hardness of mattress.

The location is super. Within walking distance...
The location is super. Within walking distance to Senado Square, 8th storey New Yaohan dept. store and casinos. The hotel provide 1/2 day extension for people like us in need of late check out till 7pm with a discounted rate.

I was there with 3 of my...
I was there with 3 of my other friends. My friends' room was ok but the room I got was without window... and the room 'smell' dusty. Thinking that its only for one day, didnt request to change room but the next day, I woke up feeling terrible. However, the toilet was great, clean and the light was bright only that the towel 'looks' very old. The other plus point is that the location is very very good, only 5 minutes walk to the Senado Square and the service was good.
