nice but cold
the room was nice,clean. Bathroom modern with hairdryer also clean and comfortable.
The only thing it was so cold in the room, 18 degree and no possibility to heat.

Simple getaway
The hotel is quaint and easy access to convenient store.
However, the location of the hotel being in a ascending corner makes it difficult to cross the road and not friendly for old people to walk towards the hotel. Not to mention that the difficulty to get taxis.
However the hotel does provide free airport transfer which is wonderful in helping you hike all your luggages to airport or ferry terminal.

Nice hotel, and rooms are clean and staff very accomodating....
bed and tv issue
the bed was hard as a rock and the tv was difficult to understand and use at first.
Hotel was very nice, only complaint is that we requested a double but ended up with a twin, but it was an upgrade to a deluxe and we booked it 20 mins before we arrived!
I will stay the same hotel next time
It was a nice experience staying at Guia. Everyone in the group said they liked the rooms. The location was okay - quiet and accessible to downtown by walking although it was difficult to get taxis even with the help of the receptionist. The only problem we had was the staff at the dining room. It was difficult to communicate with them in English. Some of the front liners should be able to speak English and their menu should have pictures to show the food.

They arrange a twin room for at 2nd floor. They had play boy club at the basement. Still could hear the bass sound even after 2pm+. The lift, room and corridor are full with dusty and smoking smell. Our room seems like quite a long time no one stay there in. The carpet are very dirty. Toilet look fine.

The hotel is actually up on a hill, and nothing quite much around it like convenient stores, restaurants, etc. If you wanna go to anywhere (except for the Fort Guia...), you have to ask the reception desk to call a desk for you. And the price is bit high, considering that the location is not so good. One more thing, my room there was quite noisy at night since I could here other guests talking in the corridor clearly. Only surprise is that they have Thai TV (Channel 3)...
