Hotel Victoria is located in a very typical chinese neighbourhood and is a little bit too far from the city centre to be considered close, however it is in walking distance if you're feeling athletic. The Hotel is OK but is starting to show signs of it's age. The bathroom was only just clean enough to be considered acceptable. The staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were a decent size, if looking a little on the run down side. There are some interesting temples around the area and you can walk to the Chinese border gate, but for anything much else you'll need to take a Taxi. Make sure they use the meter though, some try to extort foreigners out of a hefty "agreed upon" fee. All in all i doubt I would stay here again. I would have been very displeased if staying longer than one night. If you are after cheap accomodation in Macau I would probably stay on Taipa instead as I have in the past.
