Victoria Hotel staff did not fully explained why they had to swipe my credit card for an amount that is more than the amount that I have to pay. The counter staff said that it is a precaution and had to swipe HK$ 300 more for security purpose from my credit card.
It's lovely
Value for Money
Value for money budget accommodation that is very nice and quality above expectation. Room is clean and tidy. Surprisingly not very old and quite modern in fact. Close to China border within walking distance so no need to take a taxi at all. Only that if you need to go to city or Taipa then you need to take a bus. But if you don't mind being a little bity advanturous then you could find you way with a map and ask the local people.
Air-conditioning is cold enough.
The only criticism is that don't expect the staff would be nice, friendly and helpful. Just average customer service.
But what can you say, for that good price of room it is acceptable.

worth the price
service is fair, room size is fair, cleanness is good, location is good if you come from china, but a little bit far if you come from hk ( use well of taxi is fine), just a little bit noise at morning.

Tried to ask for a little refund, but impossible to talk to lady in reception.

Victoria hotel review
Hotel was okay, good location because there was free shuttle service to all the casinos nearby. Room was small and cold, and couldn't work out how to turn on the heating. It was clean enough and the maid came every day and did a good job. Much cheaper than staying in the big casino hotels, and I guess you get what you pay for!
Spacious room. Reasonable cleanliness. Hotel staffs not that friendly but not to the extend of being rude.
Noisy in the morning(I stayed for 1 day only), due to neighbours (seemingly from China) chatting along the doorways.
Very near to the China border, so you could catch a bus to the China border bus terminal (even the free shutter bus from Venetian hotel) and walk back to the Victoria hotel, if you can figure out which direction to walk.
Quite accessible area since quite a number of buses servicing the area, even to the Senodo Square.

clean, safe, great value for money
Very clean and nice hotel. Located is not in central macau but easier to reach bus station. I will recomended this hotel to my friends, and hope I can stay longer in the next visiting with lowest price definetlly offer :)
cheap weekend stay in Macau
It's a good hotel for a weekend stay in Macau and if you want to visit Zhuhai too. About 600m straight from the hotel entrance to the border and can free bus to the other 5 star hotel( the buses is park on the right side) The room is about 20sqm but is cosy and they do have a thai channel3 too. Taxi is quite difficult to get from the hotel alway full expect to wait about 10-15mins.If you do not want to spend too much on the weekend rate, this is the hotel for you.
