Need sitting area in lobby checkin area
I travelled with my elderly mum. When we were waiting for checkin, it would be great to find a chair or some seating area nearby for her to sit down. Also for children. I plan to come to Macau again with my little nephew. Sitting area would be good...just a few chairs.
Otherwise the stay was fantastic.
I have a mixed feelings in regards to this trip. First, would like to raise my comments of what I think is a downside of the hotel services. Unlike other hotels like Venetian, they have hired 'models' to direct guests to the free shuttle bus right in front of the exit. As for Grand Hyatt, we have to ask around and given only very brief answers. I am traveling with a 21 months old infant and have spent about 30mins looking for the free shuttle bus. In the end, my husband and I decided to take a taxi which costs us about MOP65. What make the matter worst is we realized the journey from the ferry terminal to the hotel should costs us only less than MOP45. When we arrived at the hotel, we waited another 45mins for check in. According to the reception, it happened to be a very busy day. Management has to resolved his matter as this is a first impression given to the guests of this hotel. Overall, most of the hotel staffs are warm and friendly.
We are very pleased with the suite double bed. The suite is spacious and quiet. My son has lots of space to move around and suite is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine. We were given a baby crib and also complimentary rental for DVD player. Room service is just average. If you are traveling with children, there is a kidz city, about 5 mins walk from hotel. The spa was good but little pricy. Hotel guest can make use of the jacuzzi and steam room in the spa.
I would come back to stay with Grand Hyatt Macau again but do hope that the management can address the issues for free shuttle bus and waiting time for check in.

Great reception service. Up grade to the Tower Club room after the stuff-up by the booking web-site was a nice touch. Great location, just across the Venetian. Plenty to see, plenty to do. Lots to eat!
Tower club room we got was amazing! His and hers wash basins, rain shower, bath with a view!
Only down side is week-end rate was exhorbitant. Avoid staying during weekends and public holidays.
Definitely will stay there again. If rates are good.
