value for money
Location: ok, not the best but still easy to access to most places.
Room: while our rooms are upgrade, we are pleased with the rooms. The beds are big and comfortable. The room has enough room for suitcases. However, there is no wifi in the room. It is clean.
Food: breakfast has enough choices. there are both Western and Chinese style. We had free tea set that is lovely too! The taste was good. The environment is quiet and great as well.
Service: general OK. a bit slow for check in and check out. Still acceptable.
Price: good price for hotels in Macau. I don't think we can ask for more with such price while tea set and breakfast are included!
Shuttle bus: not that enough. Start only from 10am.

Value for Money
Just stay there for one night. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from Galaxy on the Co-Tai strip. There is not a lot directly in the hotel, one small shop and cafeteria. Reception is a little stiff and some girls not speaking English. The welcome drink and free tea set were really nice!
The room has all the items you expect from a room. In the bathroom there was a bath and also a separate shower. Though there was hardly any water coming from the shower so we had to shower in the bathtub eventually.
The pool was great, very big and also very quiet. No other guests seen in the pool.
We had a nice stay in Grand Waldo, value for money.
Room is Clean and spacious as well as Toilet.
Room package comes with Welcome Drink, Breakfast and High Tea ! Very unusual of hotel to include High Tea and we enjoyed having the relax afternoon tea of Pork Bun, Egg Tart and Tea.
Although hotel location is not ideally location BUT it is opposite the New Galaxy Casino, so we could walk there and enjoy the new casino.
So-so ...
Our stay at the Grand Waldo was dissapointing. This was largly due to the reception staff who were very unfriendly and made us feel we were imposing each time we asked a question. For example, we had a number of problems with our room keys and numerous times we needed to go to reception and get our key's reset. While I appreciate this was a hassel for them, it was equally annoying for us, and certainly not our fault.
The rooms were nice and clean - we were allocated a smoking room although we don't smoke and the room didn't smell.
Other than that the location was reasonable, being a very short walk from the Galaxy which we used as a base to get the free shuttles to the other casinos. We received a free airport pick up (a minor point - the email said it would be a limo, however it was a mini van), and no free airport return transfer, so we got the Galaxy bus.
The breakfast buffet was fine as well.
All in all, it was fit for purpose, but was let down by its front desk staff.
Excellent hotel!
Rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable, overall I enjoyed the stay in Grand Waldo.
Once u checked in, they provide complementary drinks at the hotel bar & hi-tea snack the next day when u check out. Although we did not go for the high tea because we are rushing for our ferry departure, it was a nice gesture from the hotel.
Wifi located at the lobby.
Internet access by cable in the rooms.
The buffet b'fast is included & the spread variety is good.
I will definitely stay in Grand Waldo again!!!

Small Casino, smaller rooms compared to other hotels in macau.
This Hotel was impressive in appearance however...
This Hotel was impressive in appearance however the location was not great.... the hotel did have a shuttle service which saved on taxis s..... however it was about 15 mins to the main casino strip and Macau ferry terminal.
The swimming pool outside had a very uncomfortable glare coming form the glass windows on the floors above so when lazing around the pool without sun glasses I was constantly squinting. There was no bar service nearby or around pool.
Staff were professional abit static however. Not great choice in menu for Western food in any of the restaurants.
The Casino downstairs was small in comparison to the other Casinos in Macau. The rate per night was good value for what it was.

We stayed for 3 nights at grand waldo. i appreciate the warm and friendly reception of employees esp Roger who speaks English fluently. The shuttle service to &from the hotel was very helpful it saved us some mops.The hotels gift shop/ canteen in the lobby is adequately priced.
The hotel room and bathroom is clean and has a separate shower and bath. the view is fantastic from our room. I had a grand time at Grand Waldo.
Some taxi drivers are so rude and they dont speak or read English. we have to write the name of our hotel in Chinese.

Grand Waldo, Taipa hotel staffs are excellent. From the manager to the concierge all provide details info and have helpful.
The hotel room is very specious, comfortable and clean.
The only set back is the location is a bit out, other then that this is a beautiful hotel and staffs are great in service.
Against some opinions what I'd read before...
Against some opinions what I'd read before from customer reviews for this Hotel, the Grand Waldo is a good one. I sleep in the average over 200 days/anno in different Hotels, mostly in Asia and China with high standards, but in Grande Waldo i was satisfied in all ways. The Casino is not so big but family like, very helpful and friendly stuff, and i had the family feeling with nice and friendly stuff in each area in this Hotel. The guests from the Hotel are most Chinese and you'll met not so much European people there, but this is good for you. The only disadvantage is that in the environment from the Hotel is nothing. You need a Taxi to get to the other places like Hard Rock Hotel and the City of dream or venetian (in the opposite of City of dreams), but you can get this for less money (1,6 Miles, 3 KM, ca. 15 HKD). Also possible is that you take the shuttle bus from the Hotel to the Ferry Station, change the bus and get to your destination. I want come back again, i like to stay there, because the stuff, the buffet dinner (130 HKD) and the rooms are good.
