We were a group of four travellers, 2x40+ and 2x70+, with 2 rooms. This was the first time we have stayed at this hotel and found it to be of great value.
Asking for anything was no trouble to the staff.
The breakfast had a genorous selection of western and asian food, some not to the heat (oven) requirements of western tastes but hey this is asia.
We had Deluxe rooms, we found them to be spacious and very clean.
It also had great access to local eateries along Gurney Dr, Coffee Bean and Starbuck's around the corner and I would highly recommend the Curry Kapitan (great naan bread), next to Starbuck's, what more could a seasoned traveller ask for, good lodging, good food and good coffee.
A taxi ride in Penang is usually not very far and not very expensive, 10 to 20 Ringgit, so moving around was quite easy and inexpensive to Georgetown central and even the rest of the island.
