I loved this hotel...I stayed in the hotel for one night and stayed in the hotel rather than walk the streets, as taxi drivers in Singapore said there is a high occurance of petty thieving in the city at night. My partner and I enjoyed the excellent rom service, a luxurious bubble bath in the HUGE bathroom, and also watched movies on the cable tv station.
Highly recommended if you need to stay overnight in JB before moving onto KL (hich we did by KKKL coach booked at Larkin).

The only problem i have is with the pillows and bed. The bed seems pretty worn and you can actually feel the springs. The pillow does not gives good support with soft bed. I love the room but not the bed.

Over the last two times that I went, I think that only the draining for the showers was not entirely satisfactory, despite the use of the shower curtains. Somehow, the water from the shower gets onto the bathroom floor despite proper 'pasting' of the shower curtain onto the bathroom wall.
But apart from that, the room, facilities and service was great

Room size is not as big as I thought, at least for a 5-star hotel. Located centrally, near to major malls. But dangerous to walk through the dark alleys in order to get to the hotel.

The first room given to us was in a very bad condition.toilet water was sipping thru the bathtub,lamp shade tilted (couldn't put it straight).We asked to be changed to a different room and willing to pay more,so was given a better room but still not to our expectation. I was wondering how could they sell a room to a guest with a very bad condition.Housekeeping staff should update room condition to relevent authorities.We thought it would be a great new year celebration for us but a total let down.
Its time the hotel do some renovation.The things in the room looks very old including bedsheets.Thanks.
