We stayed there for 3 days. The room was fine, with a view of the shoreline.
You cannot use the gym unless you wear gym shoes (a common inclusion for travellers). The pool was good, though the weather was quite windy.
The breakfast buffet was extensive, the main criticism being the poor quality tea and coffee (tea bag and instant).
There are 2 problems with the hotel. Since it is a few kms from the city centre, you have to catch a bus or taxi (cheap but unconvenient) to get anywhere else - for example shopping, or extensive eating. Some travellers may be happy with that. The local restaurants are somewhat more expensive than the city centre too.
The big problem is that the hotel has an internal atrium stretching to the top floor. At the bottom of the atrium is a late night club/bar with live bands, and lots of drunken businessmen. This means all rooms are exposed to the noise. The live band lasts until midnight or later - which is intolerable. (It would be OK if they finished at 10 to 11, but any later is silly.
Spend the extra and go to the Puteri PAN in the city centre.
