Clean and Spacious room but waiting for the room leave a bad taste
We are a family of 2 adults and 1 toddler. We were travelling with other family members who also had complains about different aspects of their stay. For us, our room was not ready although it has been booked in advance. We reached the place around 2+pm and only got the room at close to 5pm. The only reason we didn't complain was that the rest of our family members got their room and we could bunk in with them. If we travelled alone, I don't want to think how we can manage our toddler and our luggage. We didn't even get a complimentary late check out.
Having said that, we were lucky cos our room was clean, there was a fridge and towels were provided. Our other family members in different rooms didn't have fridge, no towels and the toilet was leaking. The pool was nice though...
Also when I check in, they didn't check if my card was a debit or credit card and they charged my account twice. I had to call them the following week to ensure that they refunded me the $.
So this is the last time our family is staying at this hotel.. They lost 6 potential regular room bookings in the future.

Asiarooms gave accurate info. It also gave gentle reminder two days before the actual stay! Thistle JB is a great place to stay and the staff are very helpful & efficient!

The carpet in the room felt damp and in the other carpet in the other room was very wet so we requested for another room. This problem was dealt

bad service
That day was my 2nd visit to Thistle. the first time was in February and everythig was good. This time round, the service was bad. i was given a small room with small and the room was totally different from what you see on the internet. it took them few hours to get me a new room. the duty manager was rude and did not return call to update us. I asked for an extra bed and only got it at half past midnight!!
Affordable Good Hotel, but not 5-star
I am satisfied with my stay in Thistle as it offers good rooms and good food. However, my friends and I thought that it is not of 5-star quality. Almost everything are available upon request, not really 'readily' available when you need it (simple things like the hotel catalogue, hair blower). In fairness to the staff, they provide you what you need immediately upon request.
I won't be complaining as Thistle is admittedly affordable and its indeed good value for money, However, really not that convinced that its 5 star.

Front desk not prepared for AsiaRooms bookings. Made us wait and feel like Internet booking is not a priority.
