Happy stay in Citrus hotel Johor bahru,
nice room n cleanliness, but no provider Toothbrush and hair dryer.

Good budget hotel for a day or 2
good, smooth check in. a good deluxe room in a budget hotel. the breakfast is average and nice. What i dont like is their 2 small lifts and their complimentary wifi..it is really bad!! They should try to upgrade their wifit too..very hard to get connected. Out of 50 tries, i successfully connected once. Overall, my stay was great. What more can i ask for a budget hotel which is near to lots of places!
No discount, Price was what is charged
The only good thing about this hotel was the buffett breakfast included and close proximity to the border. What the hotel is quoting as a discount is not a discount but the original price. The rooms were basic, not worth the money it charges. When we got to the room, the corridor smelt of leaking sewerage. It was the worst place we stayed at in Malaysia.
For budget travelling Citrus is a great option...
Citrus is centrally located and the rooms a basic but very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was a real gem and certainly makes this traveller to consider Citrus Hotel for a third time when the opportunity presents itself...
DISAPPOINTING
Poor standard of room - No window view. Very enclosed. No glasses to drink water. No kettle for boiling water. No coffee/tea making facilities. Only 1 chair & table in the room although it's a family room. No lock to toilet door. No privacy as you can see thru the toilet door gap.

Itsy Bitsy Spiders
The pretty exterior of Citrus Hotel looked promising to us until we stepped into the room. Spiders lurking at all corners of the room. Thought that things would improve after a room change request. Spiders still lurk around in the new room. Even the toilet's flushing system is not working. But the friendly service staff, Jason, made the whole stay bearable. The buffet breakfast, though mostly simple fare, reminded me of home cooking which is a plus. So these 2 aspects managed to redeem Citrus Hotel.
hotel with good location
Hotel rooms just renovated and its very nice. The family room rate is quite reasonable and comfortable. Near to CIQ and City plaza. Vey easily to find food nearby and the surrounding is lively all night long. Walking distance to uptown and public amenities. The weaknesses, the hotel does not have phone and the bathroom door has no lock.

Hotel is opposite City Square JB. Noisy with loud music thru the night and cars. The place really needs clean-up and renovation.
