The only one thing the resort missed...
The only one thing the resort missed is water pipe or shower for Muslims in the bathroom. Water very important for Muslims during the cleaning.

I have been in the hotel three...
I have been in the hotel three times over the last 10 years. Location is excellent and the view from the room is wonderful. Pool area is very nice. The buidings/rooms now need upgrading and better maintenance. The restaurants are OK - but prices are far too high compared quality and to what you can get in the city 5-7 minutes away. Service is ok - but I have a feeling that the hotel is falling behind. Overall this a reasonable good **** hotel.

Stayed at the Pacific Sutera - a...
Stayed at the Pacific Sutera - a modern upmarket resort with a great pool area overlooking the sea. Although very nice it was a little boring, not unlike all other hotel rooms. The Magellan appeared to be more resort style. Food places we tried were rather disappointing - okay but nothing special. Drink prices were very expensive.

I enjoy my 2 nights stay at...
I enjoy my 2 nights stay at Pacific Sutera. The food there is good, only thing is that it's a bit over-priced. Location is also great. Plus they provide shuttle service to the city.

We loved everything about this hotel. The rooms that was given us was more than what we have expected, it was spacious. Everyday, housekeeping would clean the rooms without us asking them to. They provide water everyday, fruits and chocolates during our stay. We had a slight problem with the sliding door leading to the terrace but aside from that the staff were all friendly and courteous. The pool was also very inviting. We'd love to go back to Pacific Sutera.

Rooms good and well equipped and those...
Rooms good and well equipped and those overlooking pool and South China Sea best. Breakfast selection was extraordinarily wide for pan-Asian tastes but slightly limited for English/American norms, though still enough to choose from. Wider facilities excellent, especially the pool bar in happy hour and inclusive trip to Manukan Island, where coral and tropical fish were the best we've seen. Service very good all round, though we thought the free shuttle bus into KK finished surprisingly early. A false fire alarm at 5am was not appreciated! Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommended.

Overall good service. Staff very friendly. Rooms will be remodeled this year apparently and that will be a good thing. Tennis and other racquet sports are expensive at the next doors Country Club.
