Very nice hotel centrally located and a great deal from Asiarooms. We had a royal club suite for 3 nites but front counter check in at 11pm was so disappointing. The club level concierge Mark made up for it over the 3 days and was just excellent! He went out of his way genuinely to assist and make our stay perfect. Have to agree that the walls to the rooms are paper thin and guests next door can be heard at all hours. Great spa and sauna.

The hotel was well placed for all of the shopping & Restaurants in the immediate area.
I would recommend to people considering staying at the Le Meridien Hotel in Kota Kinabalu to include a weekend as the local night market is a must do experience.

Club lounge is very comfortable with an amazing view, worth the extra money.
Try to get a room with an ocean view, you get to see not only the oecean, but the busy day and night markets outside.

My request for a higher level room was granted and in fact we got elevated to a suite. Great location, very friendly staff, fantastic dinner /breakfast buffet, overall good value for money.

This was a wonderful hotel in a great location right opposite the night markets, great for a cheap night out for dinner, especially the Filipina seafood market. Breakfast at Le Meredian was a superb array
of foods, so much to choose from. The view from our room on the 10th floor was excellent & the room & bathroom were both very spacious, would highly recommend it, the only negative was the air-conditioning was far too cold even when we turned it up to 25oC.

"Very good location, right in the city..."
Very good location, right in the city centre. Lots of restauants, cafes (Starbuck, Coffee Bean) just around the corner.
The breakfast buffet was just ok, typical of any hotels. Food selection was not the best but enough.
The room was huge and very comfortable.

"We are a family of four. (Two..."
We are a family of four. (Two teenagers)and would recommend this hotel. We had a really great 7 days in this hotel and used it as a base for a scuba diving week. The rooms
were large, very very comfortable and the hotel even provided connecting rooms which worked brilliantly. Great location, close to the night market, jesselton Point and all the shops and waterfront restaurants are in walking distance. Service in the retaurant was very friendly however a little erratic on the timeing of food. The smiles made up for the slow service! Our only critisism was a nightclub within the hotel that ran til 2am and was very noisy. We requested a change of room after the second night!! The hotel immediately moved us to the other side of the hotel where it was silent but the we lost the view of the market at night! We were there between Christmas and new year so the mucic may have been associated with the party season.

"We only stayed for 1 day and..."
We only stayed for 1 day and 2 nights, but loved the hotel, we saw 2 beautiful sunsets from the pool whilst enjoying very reasonably priced cocktails. The food was amazing and we felt good
value, living in penang you get use to very cheap but exceptionally good quality food, but here we were not disappointed. We had an extra bed in one of our rooms, and it was still spacious. just a note, if you want somewhere nice to go outside of the hotel, turn left, cross the raod and head for the coast... much better then what we found turing right!!!!! enjoy
