Stayed for one night on 25 jan. checking in and out were fast. given double queen bedsroom on 16th floor. There's shampoo, body wash and lotion. Toilet was half-choked that not even a toilet paper can be flushed away in a single flush. Room temperature cannot be adjusted so we were freezing. The next morning no newspapers were delivered although mentioned in package. The most unpleasant incident was to have the room cleaner knock on our door repeatedly at 8.20am to enquire if we are checking out that day.
Overall is very good! Just have to improve on some areas like: •The Air-con is not strong enough •Have some channels for kids like Disney channel •Cleaniness can be improved as we found hair on our bed when we just checked in.
The hotel could do with refurbishing, as the room and public areas were quite shabby. But the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We did feel that there should be a display of leaflets giving information on attractions in the area. Tours could be arranged, but we prefer to explore by ourselves, but need some 'heads up' on where would be good to go.
thanks Asiarooms.com for their reservation and your deal was exact,I paid the same amounts we agree,dorsett hotel was very nice, and I can say clean but good for 4 star,the hotel have spa,and near the downtown you can walk or take taxi in front of hotel,the food was ok,the breakfast and buffet at night you can eat for 88,.. ringket for the buffet , this is my first time I deal with Asiarooms it soo good,I can say that hotel was cool and calm hotel,.......
I stayed here in Nov 2011 and everything was fine. I arrived yesterday for a second trip and this morning the room service left the door discreetly open after finishing the room. If I had been working, or on a tour, and all my luggage stolen during the day, then the hotel would have denied any liability and probably claimed that I was trying to do an insurance job. I will now wait for the cleaner each day and only go out afterwards. This is the first time in 30 years of travelling that this has ever happened and has completely removed any confidence I had of leaving any gifts or personal items in the room. Unforgivable and the last time I stay at the Dorsett regency. It's a shame because otherwise its a nice hotel. If you have nothing worth stealing then stay here.
I like the hotel location which I think the cheapest in BB area for that range.however the breakfast was the disappointing part as the spread is totally average like a budget hotel and the service staff wasn't attentive. I came in with three small kids including a baby but none of them offer a baby seat, the hostess not even greet me at all.
