Grand Seasons Hotel KL
This hotel is a little out of the way, though very close to a monorail station. For convenience sake we ended up catching a lot of cabs in order to get to popular tourist destinations such as the Petronas Towers and the China Town Markets. The rooms (especially the ones with tower views) and swimming pool make this seem like a 5-star hotel, however the reception staff were often surly and unhelpful. Room Service / Housekeeping were a little slow to respond to requests (such as purchasing items off the menu or asking for an international adaptor). And overpricing for services such as making an outside call (100RM deposit required) or using the internet (8RM per half hour in the Business Centre or 25RM per day wifi access) doesn't help the overall image either. The Kasbah had decent service and tasty drinks though, even if the juxtaposition between decadent opium den style furnishings and soccer blaring on the big screen was a little jarring. There was a convenient money changer located in the hotel lobby shop, though marginally better exchange rates were easily found just a few streets away. Also, the Valet / Concierge's failure to provide us with a 5.30am wake-up call or order us a 6am cab to the airport, despite our pre-booking for both the night before, almost made us miss our return flights home. If you book using AsiaRooms be sure to take a printout of the booking with you too, as Reception Staff seem to have little idea of what was going on and/or tried to charge us additional fees for upgrading to rooms we had already booked as standard.

good
the hotel is good but the location to connect public transportation is not good but the public transportation is too much to travel with suitcase as there are no lift, or no elevator and a lot of stairs to climb up and down and the pavement is not user friendly.... most of the stairs are broken and uneven. It's hard to carry your lugguage up and down without lift and elevator assistance..... most of the people who claim speaking English and in fact, they guess what you are telling them and they don't understand what you ask them most of the time. The hotel has some great view when you're high up and all you need to is ask........ after all I still recommend people to stay there

Will not stay there again
The hotel is very old and worned. Not up to the standard. Once we waited 10 minutes for the lift to arrive and we waited for 1/2 an hour for the butlers to come and pick up our luggages. Staff at the receptions are very friendly but the services provided are like a typical Malaysian civil service. The hotel is mainly catering for government officers and not for tourist. I should have take notes of the negative reviews left by the previous travellers not to stay there for either business/leisure.
p/s: Please ignore my selection of what is this accommodation suitable for as I wasn't given an option to say no.

Great hotel
The hotel was lovely. Room was clean and spacious. Iron and ironing board provided and in room safety deposit box were a plus. Helpful and friendly staff. Outdoor pool was good. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Just a short walk to the monorail station to access other areas in KL. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Overall its good value for money
The toilet needs to be scrubbed properly as there were stains. We stayed there on 4 separate occasions and in 4 separate rooms and in all instances the toilets needed to be cleaned properly.
