Most of all, thanks to the location of the hotel at the most luxurious part of bukit bintang, you have a minute access to the newly-built Pavillion and Star Hill Gallery(star hill gallery is actually built attached to the hotel as well as the Ritz Carlton(run by the same property company YTL), which can't be any better for shopaholics.
The deluxe room was about 90% nicely renovated, leaving the rest 10% of door frame and the bathroom doors, etc to the heritage of this hotel. I also had a Good supply of complimentary bottled waters every day.(3 everyday by average). View facing KL tower and a half of one of the petronas towers(some OTHER twin towers close to the hotel are being built and they already block the view of the most of the petronas. BUT not too bad since the view covers pretty much what it can offer you) was also a plus.
Breakfast was not superb considering it has limited choice of main egg dishes and sausages(what they do is you check on the main dishes you wish to have among the list of choices you can have, and you give the slip to the servers). Other menus on the breakfast I would say is quite mediocre.
The swimming pool gives you quite abundance of sun, but since the poolside cafe is halfway next to the shore of the pool, you always have guests of the cafe look at you naked.
It's a good hotel for at least tourists with urge to shop. LOCATION and the given quality of J.W. Marriott alone are enough for the reason why this hotel must be chosen.
