I received exactly what I was expecting...
I received exactly what I was expecting from the Royale Bintang. An average hotel with a great location. The room did look good, but you could see where paint was starting to chip, etc. I have no major complaints about the room, however (except that there was no bathtub - just a shower). The breakfast was good considering it was included in the price of the room. The swimming pool, however, looked so run down I did not even venture out to it. Although generally happy with the hotel, I do wish the staff had done something about the other guests in the lobby and at the restaurant. It became a bit annoying to have crowds of people talking loudly, letting children run around, and so on. To me, it gave the hotel a very cheap feeling. If you are in KL to do some shopping and eating, the location is excellent and is probably one of the best deals for the BB area.
