Only drama this time was at checkin....
Only drama this time was at checkin. After changing rooms 3 times we finally found one ready for us to move in. The other 2 were yet to be cleaned and we checked in after 1pm.

Their service was good and friendly. Breakfast was great but should have more varieties. As for their in room dining was pretty expensive, small portion and not really value for money. Should have a choice of complimentary meals and provide transportation to bus interchange or airport.

Location is very good. Room is clean....
Location is very good. Room is clean. Staffs are polite. The reception desk is helpful. Breakfast is OK. The chief defect - Water was leaking from the exhauster of the air conditioner and dropped on the carpet after the air conditioner have ran for an hour in my room.

Other than its appalling lack of service,...
Other than its appalling lack of service, this hotel is quite reasonable. however because of the treatment we received, i will not be staying there again. firstly, the chambermaids forgot to close our room door after cleaning which is totally not acceptable, leaving our room open for strangers and thieves to come in. the receptionist was also very rude in addressing this complain and treated us with disdain. the conceige is also under-staffed and unhelpful. even though we were waiting for our turn to be served, the conceige tended to a caucasian couple instead even after we mentioned that we had been waiting for quite sometime. when we needed the bellboy to fetch our luggage that had been stored away as we had to check in early but leave later, the bellboy took ages to find our luggage and when he did, motioned for us to follow him to remove our luggage by ourselves. we were only there for 2 nights but were shown enough bad service to last a year. just because we are singaporeans does not mean we should be treated any lesser than "real" tourists from more exotic countries. i will be staying somewhere else on my next trip to KL, even if it means paying abit more.Federal Hotel beside Royale Bintang may be my next choice.

the royal bintang was fine, we got upgraded to a 3 bedroom conecting room for free, which was great, we could see the towers from our bedroom window, a/c was working and cool, pool area was great, restuarant in the bintang was good, we had tea in there and was affordable and tasted good. In a good position you can walk to places from the hotel, service was good, we would recommend this hotel to our friends to stay, thanks asian rooms this is the 3rd time we have used your services overseas and all 3 times have been great, NO PROBLEMS.

I invariably use this hotel as my base in KL. I have stayed here many times alone and with friends. It is very conveniently located close to the centre of activity and offers reasonable value for money. This time (May 2009)it was pleasing not to have to queue to get breakfast since the hotel was not full. However, having booked online for a deluxe room as usual, I was most disappointed to find that I had been allocated a small room with hardly space to move and a double bed which was more like a large single bed. I am making a return visit next month (June 2009)to give the hotel another chance to get it right. Guests paying for bigger and better rooms should get what they pay for!

I stayed for 3D2N and overall is...
I stayed for 3D2N and overall is just ok.Room service is very,very slow.I had to remind them twice for my extra bed.The aircon isn't responding to the setting.I got tired of reminding the maintenance team.This is my first time here and probably my last.

We had stayed over for 3 nites...
We had stayed over for 3 nites in a deluxe room. The size of a room is pretty spacious so is the bathroom. However, we werent very happy with cleanliness in this hotel as towels and cushion covers were really dirty with stains. I had to get housekeeping to change towels with stains twice. Breakfast was quite a good spread of both american and local. Can get crowded by 9am. A nice spa within the hotel at level 3 very nice to go after a tiring day of shopping.
