4 Star Amenities, 2 Star Accommodation
We booked the Corus Hotel with very high expectations, only to be disappointed. The front desk service is unfriendly and under staffed. We were not informed about deposits charged to the room and the value on it. Our booking included free wifi in the room only to find out that it is chargeable, and we need to go back the front desk. It then took half a day to get it activated. Breakfast the next morning, we were not supplied with breakfast vouchers, as they claimed that breakfast was not included in our accommodation. We then produced the booking voucher again, and then a manager needed to override the approval of the breakfast. Not the front desk service expected from a 4 Start Hotel.
The room (241), we stayed in, you can clearly see that it is in dire need of renovation. The bath is stained yellowish from age, there is mildew growth around the handles, the extractor fan need serious cleaning.
On the positive side, the amenities is very well presented. The location of the hotel is close to the KLCC.
