Very old, dirty and crampy boring . Once is enough!
Disppointing in all aspects. Room had noisy air conditoner, squeaky bathroom door, stopper in sink was broken so sink would fill up each time you used water. Sheets were not changed, beds were just made up. Paid housekeeping staff to do better job of cleaning. Complained to front desk three times and the Manager to fix stopper made no difference. Atmosphere not friendly at all except for the restaurant staff who were. Doormen, concierge too militant looking which gives a cold feeling to the hotel. Would not stay there again.
Need improvements to compete with its peers.
The hotel is definately strategic in terms of location but it is run down. The room needs improvement especially the curtain, most TV channels are not available in the room, signage taken off are left unattended to and become an eye sore... Definately need improvement to be able to compete with other hotels of its peers.
it's OK, but...
Well, not the best, not the worst stay in my life, and I travel a lot. For the amount of money I paid, it was acceptable, but next time I would look for something different. The room was not very clean, the general feel was of some wear and tear, the phone barely worked, and the bathtub looked positively unclean. But the hotel staff was friendly and clearly mitigated the damage, and the location, while not perfect, was central enough.
Very disappointing
This "grand" hotel has a fancy foyer and overly eager staff in impressive uniforms but that is where it ends. The rooms are sad, old and need a lot of work. The bed sagged in the middle the shower recess and curtain were not clean and the general feel of the room was not good. For the price we paid we expected more, the location is not very good either it does not feel as safe at night as other parts of KL we stayed at.
all that glistens is not gold
the front of house is fabulas the staff uniforms are very impressive but the rooms are as tired as the guests after a 12hour flight. but the location is great handy for lots of attractions the mono rail and the LRT train are a short walk away so for the price the hotel was more than ok one last plus for us the view from are room was fabulas I think every photo of the KLtwin towers must have been shot from our:" room"
Conveniently located, it's less than 5 mins walk to LRT to bring you to Twin Towers or Bukit Bintang shopping areas. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Value for money.
Room Booking at Grand Continental
I stayed at the hotel twice within a week. First time, we got a room that smelled very bad (of smoke) and they agreed to change the room. Second time, we were given a room for 2 adults, although the booking was for 3 adults. However, they were quick to respond.
1. It's too bad that the water flow out from water tap is yellowish in color, on 30-Oct(the whole night). Luckily it turns ok on 31-Oct.
2. I had requested for a change of room, after checking in (my request is through room's phone). The receptionist allowed that and said she sent the new room key through a bell boy. It took almost 30 minutes for the bell boy to reach my room, although I had made few calls to push them (I was rushing in time & late for an appointment). Reasons giving, there's some checking in by others. Well, I don't mind waiting, if not because of the traffic jam and I was late for an appointment.
I don't think I should come back to this hotel again.

unsatisfied, but not uncomfortable
They have no teeth-brush, nor shaver, nor face towel.
You can't watch TV clearly.
But most of staffs are very friendly and serve well.

Don't treat this hotel as for staying but only for sleeping. So you can enjoy it.
