Good Hotel but very poor service at Reception
The reception staff (evening lady) sounds rude on two occasion of our pre-booked stay. A non-cooperative attitude was shown by the reception staff. If you are paying extra money you have room else it is fully occupied. We reached at 2am on the day of booking but they said check-in is possible only at 2pm. We told that we are checking out at 6pm on same day so can you please accomodate us at the same rate what we have booked. She told us they had only high rate rooms available. I offered to pay the difference between the two rates. She refused to co-operate and said if you want room now you have to pay for the available room and move to you pre-booked room at 2pm. With family at odd hours i agreed for everything. Then she tells you don't have to change the room you can continue in same room for you next booking. I don't understand this play. There were 3 security and 3 staff at reception at 2am but non of them helped us to get our baggage (8 bags) to our room at 18th floor. They said Bell counter service will be available at 9am.
On second occasion; they gave our booking (for 2 queen size beds) made 4 months in advance to other customer and asked us to have take king size bed and addition charge if we need an extra bed. We had to wait at reception 30 mins for our pre-booked room.
Rooms are spacious, neat and clean. Easy access to all major centers. Management has to consider making the auto-system to cut off electricity when the customer leaves the room.

false advertising?
When I booked this hotel through AsiaRooms, the type of room I picked was a Club Room, touted to be newly renovated. However, the room I got did not show any upgraded works, with old, cracked bathroom sink and bath tub. My sis got luckier - I booked for her a Family Room and she managed to get one with a newly renovated toilet, complete with nice new sink and shower cubicle.
Have to say, though, that the king-sized bed is really big and comfortable.

My stay with my family were enjoyable but the only hiccups were the cleanliness of the room. It's infested with cockroach. You can also hear your neighbour turning on the water tap. The hotel is quit rundown. It really need a refurbished.

u get what u pay for
Stayed in the family room that consist of 2 double bed. The room space is pretty spacious. The beds are hard (to my preference), they are not bouncy or 5-star like. The rooms are a little dated but overall it is clean. Unfortunately, the pillow covers had some stains and they did not change it for 3 nights. I usually bring my own towel to cover the pillows, just in case they turn out like this. The toilet was clean. Think they upgraded them recently.
I looked forward to the hotel breakfast standard of nasi lemak and roti canai. They are the best, compared to other hotels of the same rating or even higher. The roti canai are freshly prepared. The rest of the spread caters more to the Asian's palate. The norms are breads, cereals, egg sation and fruits corners.
The hotel is a walking distance to the shopping mall , Sogo and the Bandaraya LRT station. We usually travel by taxis to our destinations. It is more cost-effective if you are traveling more than 2 persons.Fortunately, there's no haggling over the use of the taxis' meter, during my trip.
The hotel is near to the railway tracks. So, do expect to hear the trains running along the tracks especially during the quieter parts of the day and night. Could be therapeutic for some.
Overall, the hotel is worth for what you pay for. I will definitely stay here again.

Customer Service
My last stayed in quality hotel was in 2004 but never see any improvement on their customer service (reception). They take their own sweet time during check-in. Laughed & joked with collegues when serving guests. Lift lobby at guests room floor very stale and stuffy.

Slow Service
This hotel services in overall are very slow. The staff is not friendly at all. The check in is slow. Not enough staff. This is a very old hotel and yet no renovation has been made.
