We stayed at Traders on two occasions...
We stayed at Traders on two occasions this holiday. The hotel is excellent and its location across the park from the Petronas Towers is stunning. It is a cut above business hotel with good food. The international breakfast is one of the best. The hotel's Sky Bar and pool is under redevelopment and so it was a disappointment we could not experience this. The hotel did compensate with an extension to the room check out helping with our return flight time, a complimentary head and shoulders massage and the opportunity to use the Shangrila pool nearby. Oh and two soft drinks at the bar! Unfortunately the Shangrila are building a pool bar so it got a bit comical. So good accommodation, business oriented, and when they get the work finished it will be very good indeed.

Nice hotel but let down by the...

The location of the hotel was very...
The location of the hotel was very good... with a great view of the twin towers... the additonal costs for a garden view is definitely worth it. I also ejoyed the buffet spread for breakfast and the view from the sky lounge as well as the upstairs of the restauant. Pity that i did not have time to try the swimming pool. Service at the check in could have been a bit better... for example we were waiting for our rooms but were not told they were ready until we asked... and when we requested for a slightly later check out time (2 hours), we were rejected out right, but the request was ceded only at second try with a different staff. The checkin staff also did not know that the complimentary buggy to KLCC was not available on the morning we checked in. Overall, it is a good business hotel at a good location. With a slight improvement in service, it will certainly be a hotel i would recommend for people in KL for business.

The hotel has many good points including...
The hotel has many good points including modern room decor, amazing views of the Petronas Towers, good breakfast choice, great location, pleasant and helpful staff. Negatives - indoor pool not great for sun bathing - only 3/4 loungers and not much sun. Also, I'm not personally a fan of a podium style hotel but what I did notice is that for a fairly new hotel, the room furnishings were starting to look ever so slightly worn so I do not think they will last very long. On the other hand, value for money I thought the Traders was excellent and the Sky Bar was a great experience. If I could obtain the same sort of deal I would most definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

Services in Traders Hotel are within my...
Services in Traders Hotel are within my expectations. Room is clean and comfortable. Facilities such as swimming pool, spa and restaurant provide convenience to those who prefer to stay in the hotel to rest and relax. There is a park for walking and jogging right at the hotel's doorstep. We will certainly stay at Traders Hotel when we visit KL next time.

Excellent Hotel in general. Remark: we aked for a late check out ( until 06:00 pm) and had to pay 1/2 night extra. To my knowledge, this is the general rule is asia, but for us, it would have been cheaper to book directly 1 extra night with asia rooms as to deal with the reception of the hotel.

Had a fairly smooth stay at this...
Had a fairly smooth stay at this hotel. room size was not overly big and there were lots of morrors in the room to try and make it appear bigger, however the fairly large bathroom helps make up for this. superb breakfast selection with something for everyone and really great service, seemed nothing was too much trouble. only downside was that we were travelling in a small group and there was no lounge to meet in during the evening, nor any recetion area to sit in. There is only one shuttle bus that runs to the towers and you must wiat for it to return, only taking six - eight people on each run and it does not operate for most of the afternoon. We were alittle disappointed to find no asked for interconnecting rooms on the city view side ( at all) but this rectified the next day by moving our family to a garden view ( with view of towers) at no extra cost to us as we were travelling with children and rooms next to each other is farily difficult to manage. All in all for the price we paid we got more than we hoped for.
