originally wanted to stay at allson genesis...
originally wanted to stay at allson genesis hotel at bukit bintang area, but it was fully booked. This hotel was in the price range so had no choice.
Turned out to be ok - the room size was big, had a king sized bed, there was a hairdryer, papers was delivered every morning, bfast was pretty decent (was buffet) as well.
As for the location, its 4 mins walk from the Maharajalelah monorail station. extremely near to chinatown and petaling street (5 mins walk).
Its more of a business hotel, but for the price i paid i really can't complain.
Musky smell in the room and carpark...

The hotel itself is fine! My room was very nice with all the things I needed (incl newspaper every morning). The room and sheets were not/appeared not to be clean. The room could do with an upgrade and replace sheets who are really stained eventhough they may be clean. The staff were helpful. (Problems with the key of my door were taken care off straight away). The breakfast buffet is very good but one eggstation for so many people is not really efficient. The location of the hotel is very central. You can walk to quite some things of interest and the monorail is just a 2 minute walk away. All in all I had a really good stay at this hotel.

This hotel is dreadful. The rooms are old and dingy, and the staff was rude. Breakfast was nearly inedible. Save your money.

My friends and I had a really great time at the hotel. Since it was our first overseas trip together, it was a total blast. Though we originally plan to stay at another hotel but it turned out great. The rooms are nice and comfy. Though the spa looks kinda seedy... like those chinese massages places. Haha. Maybe I went in at the wrong time. Its a good place to stay for those who wants to save a bit of cash. The downside is definitely the location to the central area like Bukit Bintang. No place to find food when we are hungry at night like stalls and such. Its pretty near to Petaling St so its fine.
Overall, it was a trip that none of us will forget and Midah Hotel made it happen for us too. (=
The front office wanted to charge extra...
The front office wanted to charge extra for break fast for my 5 yr old kid, but the restaurant had no problem, so travellers for kids pls clear this out. Lot of Naval officers were staying at the hotel and were walking about bear chested... not so good! No remote for TV and no safe box in room. Bell boy is not very helpful with baggage. Clean big room (it was a Suite). I thing a little personal touch would make a world of a differance!

The Location is good. Near to Petarling...
The Location is good. Near to Petarling Street. Very easy to go around the area as is near to LRT station. Places like Time Square, Lot 10 , KLCC is within 30 mins of travel. Overall is a good location to stay in.
