we stayed 3 nights in Somerset Ampang Kualalumpur. the staff was so friendly and welcoming, even the security downstair happens to remember my name, was suprised :)
the room is clean and the housekeeping keep it up to somerset standard, and the amenities and kitchen utilities is complete, the bathroom view is awesome as the city view, even the retaurant for breakfast isnt bad, is recomanded :)

Nice and clean with bad food
The apartments are nice and clean; the rooms are not big but comfortable and well furnished with all the necessary appliances available. Big swimming pool on the roof with a great view of the city. Location convenient for a visit to one of many embassies around, otherwise a bit far from everything. We were really unhappy about dining options though. Arrived from the airport around 4 pm with a hungry 1,5-year-old and found out that the hotel "restaurant" only had sandwiches to offer. So instead of relaxing after the flight ended up taking a taxi to the nearest restaurant in search for some decent food. Breakfast was also very poor.
Good value
Room is very new and clean, excellent. However, the breakfast was disappointing.
Great accommodation, but needs some improving.
Beautiful new apartment.
Unfortunately no baby cots available during our stay, they were fully booked. So baby had to sleep on a folded up blanket on the floor.
Breakfast being served in 2 apartments, but a restaurant is being built downstairs, so the quality and quantity will surely improve soon.
Swimming pool and guest lounge on the top floor are beautiful, with lovely views. Gym is small but sufficient. Each day one of the elevators didn't work, which is very annoying around breakfast time.
Staff very friendly and helpfull.
Somerset a place like home
I was impressed by the quick check in and the friendlyness of the counter staff. We were then surprised by the room. It's not only cosy, beautifully decorated, spacious but comfortable as well. The room is very clean and the room is fully equiped. The pool is also something that we looked forward to go in the morning. The apartment is near to the lrt station. We would definitely choose Somerset on our next visit

Good hotel and not too far from Petronas tower and the city centre. Staff is very professional and helpful. No doubt to stay there again

It is a new hotel which started operation in Nov last year. We had 6 people and stayed at the 3-bedroom suite which is capable to accommodate more people. Everything is still very new and yet not completed (gym, child pool, restaurant for breakfast, carpark). Carpark is still free at the moment but i guess they will start charging when everything is up. Location is good as well, 10mins walk to Ampang Park, 10 mins drive to Jalan Imbi/ Bukit Bintang with no traffic issues. Terric view up at the rooftop infinity pool. High speed Wifi connection as well. My friends and I were very happy and satisfied with the stay. Will come back again if the price remains like the special opening rates.
Good location and poor breakfast
The hotel is too new and need time to improve. The breakfast is not fairly good.
