Get what you paid for
This hotel has a star and that is exactly what it is. It is an upgraded hostel. I got a room including my own shower and W.C and it even had a TV in it. The airco was working fine as well and the free wifi was a feature I really appreciated, so the room was worth it.
Of course I didn't pay for a higher class hotel, so there are some points which come along with this 1 star.
The TV is connected to a receiver in the lobby, so you can't control what you're watching, you just have to watch whatever the lobby is watching (incl. Malay or Chinese programms) The shower has a boiler connected to it, which boils the water than let's it cool down, so you need to bring along some patience in order to wash yourself properly. The walls are very thin, so you hear everything around you. At the time of my stay, workers were constructing a building next to the hotel, which caused a lot of noise in the room during the day.
This hotel is a cheap way to stay in Kuala Lumpur, if you are willing to accept the downsides. Basicly rest overnight and get out into the city during the day.
The crew was very nice and friendly, so no complaints there.
