Holiday in KL
I will start with the negative stuff 1st. On arrival we were given a apartment on the 15th floor, and when we opened the door, was surprised to see that the apartment was still being occupied by someone. The receptionist apologized for their mistake and gave us another apartment.
Breakfast was always crowded as all guest from both towers had to eat at a common location (6th floor of the east tower) and every morning we had to wait until someone finished eating to get a table. Further food ran out frequently and we had to keep informing the staff & keep waiting until re-fills arrived. Also there were no name boards to identify the food, I feel it is essential that the hotel takes immediate steps to name all the main dishes as people wont know what they are eating.
On a couple of occasions, after a tired days shopping and getting to the apartment door, the door did not open (It happened to us on 03 occasions) and then had to go back to the reception and have the "key card" reactivated (guess it is a common problem) as the reception staff seemed quite used to the issue.
I settled my bill on the previous evening before we checked out as we had to leave the hotel by 6.00 AM to catch our flight. It was confirmed by the reception staff that a breakfast pack will be made available at the reception counter by 5.45 AM for us to take. We checked out at 6.00 AM but the breakfast (take-away) box, was not available. When I questioned, the receptionist did a bit of checking and informed me that his colleague had forgotten to make the request.
On the positive side, the apartment was clean, had basic cooking utensils, lovely pool & gym, all staff were very friendly & helpful, had free shuttle services to China Town & KLCC & walking distance to Bukit Bintang.
I doubt anyone can expect a "perfect" hotel experience, as humans are prone to make errors. Even though it had some negatives, I would say, that I enjoyed by stay at Swiss Garden Residences.
