Satisfied: The room is big and very comfortable. I like the breakfast because the food is good and the important is i enjoy with my family together. And of course the price is worth value as compare with what we enjoy.
unsatisfied : The hotel carpet are smelly. may be it is too old. The basement car park got no life to lobby is too bad.

Nice clean rooms.
We stayed for 4 nights. It's a nice looking hotel on the outside. I booked a deluxe room and also asked for a room with a bathtub, and I think I was upgraded to a Continental Comfort room (12th to 14th floors) maybe because this room has a bathtub. This is a very spacious room with twin beds and nice bathroom with a nice bathtub! The room has a classy decor (nice carpet, big windows etc). They don't have a tour desk, but the reception staff are more than happy to help with tours, car hires etc. You always have taxis at the door ready to take you anywhere. Buffet breakfast and free wi-fi are provided. Swimming pool on the 2nd floor. The location is not too bad, short walking distance to shopping centres and the riverside. I'd stay here again if coming this way.

simple but friendly
This hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the river front and it is very convenient to reach to all the major attractions which is very few anyway in Kuching. The staffs are friendly. The buffet breakfast is acceptable. Overall, the room is clean and had a nice view of the city. (I was in the 11th floor). Nothing to complain.

Kucing experience
My husband, daughter and her partner and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Grand Kuching. Accommodation was great value for money. Although a bit far from central Kuching, taxis are cheap and the walk not too long but better in the early morning or late afternoon when the heat of the day has subsided. My only criticism of the hotel is it's air-conditioning in the hotel rooms themselves, it is very poor and the rooms got very hot and stuffy. Other than that the staff where extremely friendly and helpful

everything was wrong about this place, two adults and two children were expected to go into a room with one double bed and one single and this was called a family room when we asked for another bed they said it would cost extra, we booked for 4 adults. The room has seen better days everything was worn and dated,the pool was green so we did not feel it would be safe for swimming unless you are a frog.The breakfast buffet was very poor, not much to choose from and if you arrive after about 8am they do not seem to refill anything. The location of the hotel is close to the city.

Basic room with a touch of 1980s
It's not hard to see the grand continental hotel being 2 3star hotel in comparison to other 4 5star hotel. Room (for3adults) was spacious with basic faci. Location is a bit to far from central town area but it's ok if u want to explore the city on foot- was there for backpack bcos all hostels n lodges were fully booked. Not a bad place afterall but it's a hotel n u won't want to walk with a 10kg back pack to reach to central town area.

We had a very good time at grand continental hotel and decided to extend our stay. We will choose again this hotel if we have the opportunity to return in Kuchin .

Moderate hotel
Hotel room staff is friendly, prompt and helpful. Room is spacious but comes with very out-dated furniture and TV. I think need an upgrade of furnishings otherwise it's a fairly good hotel with reasonable price. Across from the hotel, one can find really good Bak Kut Teh.

Satisfying and affordable
The room was comfortable enough with full facilities and cleanliness.The staff are very helpful and kind enough to answer all your doubts and questions.However the hotel is quite a distance from the waterfront though its just a 10 minutes walking but manageable..still nearby to whatever you need..
