We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Although there was work in progress, it wasn't intrusive and if it wasn't for the fact that the pool was closed during our visit, the facilities would also have received 5*. We were notified during booking that the work was in progress. The hotel is nicely situated downtown Kuching, the food that we had, including a seafood buffet was superb. We then spent two days at the sister hotel 'Holiday Inn Damai Beach'; terrible!!!, you cab read about that in a seperate review.

An early check-in was requested at the time of booking. The room was not ready on arrival because the previous visitor had not checked out at the designated time. It was finally made available at three p.m. After an overnight long distance flight, this was something that was unacceptable.
Otherwise all of the staff were friendly.
