A little Gem
excellent boutique hotel, friendly excellent value . a real gem. would definitely stay here again and recommend to family and friends. Only drawback not in town about 10 minutes away
Nice Basaga!
We liked the hotel colonial ambiance very much. The room was simple but nice. Would be nice if the hotel breakfast could start earlier and have more choice. Overall, it was a nice stay and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Paradise
This is a small hotel set in a relaxing setting. It is just off the main road but in the room there is no traffic noise. The room is well equipped although a small refridgerator would have been nice to keep drinks cool in the room. The rooms was large and the bathroom well equiiped with soap and shampoo. The rooms were very clean and having a verandah, it was somewher nice to sit outside and watch either people swimming in the nice sized pool or the evening thunderstorms. The restraurant served good quality food, both local and international dishes. There is also a reasonably priced bar on site. The staff are always willing tyo be helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Tours can be arranged at the front desk. The one's we took were lower than thosed charged by travel agents. The hotel is about 30 minutes easy walk from the Waterfront, although there is a bus service, these never seemed to be on the road. Taxi costs around 10 -12 MYR. There is also a large shopping centre about 15 minutes walk away. The only minor disappointment is breakfast. Only once during our stay was the full menu available. However we must stress there was always enough to eat. We would have no hesitation to stay at Basaga again.
great hotel
good clean modern rooms, well kept gardens and great food are not the hotels only good points. The staff made this hotel something very special, from the cleaners to the owners everybody did their best to make sure i enjoyed my stay as much as possible.
For the price, this was ok - the staff certainly did go out of their way to be helpful. Evening meals were good value - breakfast a bit basic.

Booked the hotel after reading good reviews..i found the stay was pleasant (facing the pool)and staff very helpful and the food is nice (except for limited breakfast choice). Made it my second home everytime in kuching..

I had a stay till I got my room in the university.Mr Brandon is an excellent host,caring towards the comfort of his guests,attending to everyone. I would recommend the place to parents dropping their children at Swinburne University.
The food is excellent.I really loved the plum juice and their steak was delicious.
