The Andaman is quite simply stunning. Probably the best hotel of its kind I have ever stayed in. The setting is incomparable. The service was impeccable. The food was excellent in every respect. I cannot rate it too highly.
Of course the bill at the end was a bit of a shock, but well worth it.
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.

We went there for our honeymoon. During our honeymoon we stayed more than one hotels, including Hilton, Holiday Inn etc. Something I still cannot forget about Andaman, is the breakfast. It was amazing and variety of food and quality is truly brilliant. And I must admit the room service was very good as well. They have exceeded our expectation. The only downside I would say would be the old building and relatively old style room and their furniture. But good service easily compensate that. Conclusion. Must go

Wonderful service, very clean rooms, Gulai House, breakfast restaurant, sea sports staff and reception are all extremely courteous. Thanks to all for making our short 3 day stay a beautiful experience.
Bar Cabinet and WC (Flush is very noisy from unit upstairs caused by squeeking pipes in middle of night) need to be mended though. Every night, we had to fix our WC because the WC floater does not function properly and water keeps running in both 312 n 313.

Beautiful location, nestled between wild jungle and the beach. All the restaurants were amazing and the service impecable.
All in all a brilliant place to relax and indulge yourself.

My wife and I spent 5 nights at The Andaman as part of our Honeymoon and we could not recommend it any higher. What a fantastic place to stay. Our room was a Deluxe (one of the lower catergory rooms) but it was unbelieveable, more than we expected. The service this hotels offers was without question the greatest we have ever recd from any hotel around the world, these guys would bend over backwards to help you and would always make you feel welcome and make your stay as pleasant as possible. We spent many an afternoon lazing by the best pool you have ever seen with the beach just over your shoulder. The food, although a tad pricy due to the hotels somewhat isolated location, was brilliant and could not be faltered. The "Gulai House" was especially good and is a definitely the place to have dinner.
Overall a 5/5 rating and a guarenteed great time to be had by anyone lucky enough to stay here.

I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the rooms. There were visable stains throughout the carpet, the bedding and the sofa. We had to be moved twice. The only thing the hotel has kept updated in the last 10 years is the lobby. For a hotel who boast to be the second best on the island, I would have preferred paying less and getting what I paid for. Do not spend the extra money. Although the hotel is located on a private beach, the beach was not properly cleared. So there are branches, tree stumps, bark etc. throughout the beach. Although customer service was good I would not go back unless major renovations are done.

I thought the Andaman was an amazing hotel. I loved our room, the beach was beautiful, the spa was the best I have ever been to and the food was great quality. Overall, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
