Recently stayed in Bayview Hotel (August 09) The management needs to do a lot of promoting on the lounge. They have great singers but bad marketing resulted in less then 10 customer making it boring place to be. Someone should also look into the lift door. When you press open and hold it, the door will still close, thus hitting people. The hotel is surrounded by lots of shops, restaurants etc. This is good for those who loves shopping. Those who loves the beach activities, this is not the area to be as there is no beach activities at all. Restaurant food was OK, not bad. Reception staff was quite friendly. Room facing the sea has got a beautiful scenery. Highly recommended to take room facing sea. The room was good except for the fact that it was leaking and all our clothes got wet, but the hotel wash and iron at no charge.

We stay here for four days, as...
We stay here for four days, as we can't buy ferry tickets to Penang, we just request two more days with even a lower rates than on the internet. Every thing ia up to our expectation except the strong cigarette smell in the corridor, but our room is a non-smoking one. The choices of food for breakfast is quite limited as well. But on the whole it is worthwhile with the room rates.

Hotel updated us to King size bed....
Hotel updated us to King size bed. Breakfast was above average. Not near nice beach but overall good value for money.

The air con in the room is...
The air con in the room is too weak, we are perspiring when we sleep.The weather Langkawi is very hot but air con everywhere is so weak, not only hotels, the restaurants are also. Overall hotel service is quite good but I will not g back if they did not improve the air con system.

The swimming pool though clean is a...
The swimming pool though clean is a disappointment because it is not that appealing to children. The kids section is too plain and shallow for 5-7 years old. We didn't get a high level as requested because of hotel policy. Overall the stay was comfortable.

Front of hotel has wonderful views of...
Front of hotel has wonderful views of water and is reasonably convenient to Kuah CBD. It is a little tired but so is Kuah.Executive room is spacious and comfortable. Lobby and staff good.From what we saw of Kuah this seemed to be a pretty good spot to be for a short period. NOt at all like the tourist brochures, that is the resort parts of the island but very good standard as some Asian hotels go. Recommended while you get your bearings.

We stayed at the Bayview for 8...
We stayed at the Bayview for 8 nights and could not fault the amenities or room. The location is right in the middle of Kuah and right away from the tourist strip of Pantai Cenang, which suited us. The room we had was seaview, very spacious and nicely appointed. Breakfast was very good. THe variety and standard was high. The only gripe we had, was on checkout, when we were charged for a phone call, which we did not make. It took some convincing to have this matter rectified. Would we stay here again - YES! Would we recommend it to our friends - YES!

The hotel is okay, very nice pool....
The hotel is okay, very nice pool. Breakfast is also okay, rooms are very old, but okay clean.Location is inn the city, with many shopps. Taxi near hotel, easy too travel around.
