Very pleased with the hotel, good location being right in the centre of the town. Service was good, facilities were above expectation. Especially appreciated the swimming pool area.
Special mention must go to one of the concierge, I think he went by the name of Rudi. He was so helpful in obtaining ferry tickets from Langkowi to Penang for our party. Overall we were very pleased with the service received.
It was quite comfortable staying. We used this hotel as just trangit of boats to Thailand. Since it is located close to Jetty of Kuah town, it is quite convinient. Each level has doors to reach to room doors which prevent that mosquitos come in to rooms. We stayed on sea view side. Even it is not beautiful sea, still it is just nice to see. The shower room and bathtab is separated, and bathroom itself is bigger than other the same level hotels.
We would most definately stay at the Bayview again. The hotel was clean, well placed, with a nice view. The breakfast was well presented with a fine selection of different foods. The staff were extremely helpful and extremely courteous. we had a wonderful experience here.
Overall stay during peak season in Dec08 was okay but not fantastic. Wasn't value for money compared to other similar priced resorts/hotels if they had available rooms. Upon arrival & during our 5/4 nite stays, many guest were kept waiting in lobby including us for their rooms for few hours coz not ready & understaffed. Had a horrible experience for dinner in Phoenix Chinese Restaurant & terrible service by Mgr/staffs who just assumed/ignorant about everything resulting in a long delay for service, missing food orders etc...was amazing when they only had like 5 tables to serve. Hotel is centrally located in town but that's about all. Swimming pool was disgusting with people jumping & splashing about fully clothed & lot of floating stuffs in water. Lifts were slow & overweight most of time as can only take max 8 pax even with plenty of space to spare. Most facilities had no attendants & overall hotel needs some refurbishment & customer service improved.
The hotel is fairly well located relative to the town, however a long way from the airport and good beaches. The executive suite was very spacious, but the breakfast was terrible, with very little variety.
Better to stay near the beaches not the town
Rooms are clean, and large. Toilet is huge. Food is nice. Service staff, though lacking in smiles are friendly enough and prompt in offering help. Location is central with many duty free shops around. However, the items sold are mostly for local people. Does not have much interesting tourist shops.
The view from the hotel is fantastic. Faces the bay! Overall, this is definitely a great value place to stay.
Our stay at the hotel was close to perfect. Almost everything at the hotel was perfect including the rooms, service and breakfast. Although we had to drive a lot to go to various places but that didn't bother us much, given the smooth and spacious roods at Langkawi.
The Hotel was in the centre of the town with plenty of nearby shops and restaurants. The service and facilities were excellent with an efficient check in and check out. The food was very much Malay and buffet seemed the most popular choice. There was a free car park and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again perhaps for beach lovers this would not be suitable.
We've stayed in the deluxe seaview room in the past week for 2 days. The room was spacious and so as the bathroom which has one bathtub on one side and a shower on the other side. The seaview was beautiful but if you want to go to beach, you have to move to stay in Cenang Beach. The breakfast has too little choice, so on second day, we just stayed in the room having noodle as breakfast whilst enjoying the seaview.
The hotel is centrally located in the town close to the shops and near the jetty point. If you join local tour to Pular Payer Marine Park and the Mangrove tour, the pick up time would be later than those in Cenang Beach.
The only good thing about this hotel is the location right smacked in the city centre of Kuah. More suitable if you want to be near to the malls, night market and Lang Square.
Service at the counter was very bad. Receptionist/guest service staff were rude, did not give eye contact when talking to you and can let you wait while doing their own stuff.
The bellboys were friendly though, cheerfully assisted with my request to get a taxi everytime.
There was a musty smell at my floor and a stronger stale smell from the carpets when I entered my room. The carpet was even damp/moist.
The variety at breakfast was horrible. Typical choices like Nasir Lemak and toast only. I wonder how the Caucasian tourists gonna last at this hotel.
The dinner buffet cost RM39 per person and the food looks unappetising too.
Would rather pay something similiar or even lower to stay near the beach area at Pantai Cenang.
