If you are going to Langkawi merely for shopping, then Bayview is suitable for you as it is located in the downtown and surrounded by a lot of duty free shops. It is very close to the Jetty Point but is far away from those popular beaches. Staff are friendly and helpful. The good thing is the hotel provides free WIFI for their guests. It was a bit noisy during our stay because they were undergoing construction on our floor. The hotel has a very nice pool but the steam and sauna are not close to the pool. You have to go down to another floor to access them. However, the pool does give you a nice view as it is facing the sea. Will recommend this hotel to those travellers who don't like to sunbath at the beach.
