The hotel was spectacular. It rained...
The hotel was spectacular. It rained occasionally but that did not damped our spirits! My husband and I were there on our honeymoon and our stay was truly memorable. The staff were the friendliest, the restaurants all had amazing food, and the overall experience was just beautiful. The spa and hotel activities were also sufficient in that we saw no need to ever leave the hotel. Definitely staying on at the Datai next time we're in Langkawi. Things to do: jungle walk and spa treatments.

I stayed at the Datai with my...
I stayed at the Datai with my boyfriend for one week and we both loved it. After travelling through Asia for three weeks, this was the most relaxing spot to find. Our villa surrounded by jungle was amazing, with animals passing by and beautiful decorated. The whole setting is beautiful, wonderful beach, very interesting nature walks, great stuff and very good meals. You shouldn´t miss a romantic dinner on the beach. All together the perfect place to stay!

I have been privileged to stay in...
I have been privileged to stay in some of the world's most luxurious hotels and I have to say the Datai Langkawi rates among the best. The service is attentive yet unobtrusive, food superb and location stunning. I have stayed in both the jungle villas (detached properties) and standard rooms (in main hotel block) and recommend either as they are all beautifully appointed and spacious. The hotel jungle treks are not to be missed as the guides are incredibly informative and passionate about the island's ecology and habitat. Be careful not to book between mid May and end of October as it's monsoon season!

Our first visit to the Datai was...
Our first visit to the Datai was 3 years ago and on talking to other guests, we were surprised to find several who had returned year after year. It's just that sort of place and having brought friends last year, who were delighted with everything that the hotel had to offer, we find ourselves booking yet again, for a vacation in February 2006. We found ourselves comparing the Datai and Langkawi with the Caribbean and we find the staff at the Datai to be more friendly, the food is to a much higher standard and the price is considerably less. We unreservedly recommend the Datai. John and Vikki Sangster.

A beautiful hotel - good food,beautiful beach...
A beautiful hotel - good food,beautiful beach and friendly staff make this a truly relaxing experience. The service is superb, nothing is too much trouble and the tranquil atmosphere makes this a perfect place to relax. The setting is perfect and accomadation excellent.

If you like nothing better than resting...
If you like nothing better than resting by the pool reading a book listening to the sound of nature followed by great meal in the evening then it's the place for you. You can't fault the setting of the Datai, it's beautiful.  Hint : Not ideal for kids, more adult orientated.

My wife and I was really surprise...
My wife and I was really surprise which the Datai hotel. this hotel is the absolutely relaxing place. The pool was wonderful but we love the amazing beautiful private beach at the Datai resort. The Pool Villas are spacious, romantic and even have sundecks. If you are looking for a tranquil, beautiful, well-designed and luxurious place to relax and get away from the 'real world' for a while, then The Datai Langkawi is ideal. Brilliant recommend it.

The location is truly amezing! food fantastic...
The location is truly amezing! food fantastic and the staff great, they can never do enough for you.The resort was really quiet and peaceful so it wasn't suite for the the  children. Considering which the service it was really worth for the money.
