Brings shame to the Sheraton/Starwood brand!
Truly disappointing. This resort does not meet the 5-star standard, and brings shame to the Sheraton/Starwood brand!
Notably:
1. Housekeeping is in dire need of re-training ... Observed by the general cleanliness of the room (which was quite dusty; Bloodstains found on the 'clean' bed linen, black marks on ‘clean’ towels, and the bath was just too dirty to use). Also almost every evening of my stay, I found unexplained piles of used linen and litter strewn around the broken cupboards outside my room.
2. Whilst set on a stunning backdrop, the facilities generally proved tired, and were in much need of refurbishment:
(a) Wooden walkways: Covered in dead leaves and litter - and clearly had been left un-swept for some time. Much of the wood decking walkway was also in need of maintenance as quite weathered and uneven.
(b) The main breakfast/dining area: Very poor - stains all over the soft furnishings (dirty net curtains and heavily stained chair fabric), flies everywhere including on the uncovered buffet laid, and poorly ventilated room with condensation dripping down the windows.
(c) Spa treatment room: Generally was fine except for a large gaping hole in the wall in the shower
