Lanai is really a nice place to...
Lanai is really a nice place to live in with such a bargin price. (Of course you can't compare with those 5 stars hotels) We especially like the beach right in front of the hotel, the beach is nice and we enjoyed sitting their every sunset! the sunset was fascinating!!!! we also like the swimming pool. One thing we don't like is the bathroom, there isn't enough hot water! But over it is clean and tidy. The location is a bit remote but we could easily get a taxi from and to the hotel. we really had a nice time at Lanai.

The Hotel was a good choice for...
The Hotel was a good choice for a couple of Kiwi "grey nomads",nice pool,a very pleasant beach bar with a good happy hour and a very nice holiday feeling,but,the beachsand,sea and atmospheric pollution is so serious that Langkawi (in general)is no longer suitable as a holiday destination,Aussies and Kiwis would be appalled at the air pollution and the noise all day of the jetskis and the uncollected festering piles of rubbish outside the restaurants,Langkawi was paradise once but sadly,not now.

Lanai Beach Resort Hotel is located the...
Lanai Beach Resort Hotel is located the best place in Langkawi. It is very near the beach so that u can easy walk to there. Lanai’s staffs that are all friendly, we feel more comfortable during the time. It’s really a good choice, many thanks!

The hotel has its own beach and we enjoy it very much. The hotel is a bit far away from the centre but nearby has many nice cafes and restaurants.

The hotel looks good on the photos...
The hotel looks good on the photos in the internet but in reality it is pretty outdated. It propably used to be a good hotel with all the facilities.... but that must have been at least ten years ago. Things are run down and most facilities like bar etc. have been closed down. We stayed in The Lanai Beach Resort for one week and had a good time. The staff is really friendly and helpfull. The rooms are all a bit run down (we looked at 6 different onces), aircondition leaks everywhere and there seems to be a bit of an ant problem. The pool area is quiet nice and really good for kids but cleaning could be improoved. Overall it is ok, but do not exspect anything great, definately not 4 star!

The room is clean. The hotel is very close to the beach. But I feel a little inconvenient when I want to go to the restaurant or buy the fruits . I would like to recommend this hotel to the people who likes the quiet beach.

The room smells got very bad fungus...
The room smells got very bad fungus smell. The TV and the Air-Cond was not working... However the hotel got its own private beach and nice pool. For this low price with private beach is the only good thing about this hotel.

I did enjoy my stay at Lanai...
I did enjoy my stay at Lanai Beach Resort in Langkowi Malaysia May 30th to June 1st 2008. I wish Icould have stayed longer.I hope to go back to the Lanai Resort in the future. The Manager and his staff mayed my stay very enjoyable.

The Lanai hotel is a very good...
The Lanai hotel is a very good place to stay. Good situation for those who love quiet and safe place. 2 negatives points: First, you have to take the taxi everytime you go outside cause it's far from the restaurant's area. Second one is the breakfast, please can you change the color of the plates. Green plates are not suitable for breakfast. Beside this, everything was perfect.
