What a wonderful place to unwind!
My wife and I really enjoyed our time at the Lanai. The room was basic, but clean. The pool was fantastic, the beach restaurant a peaceful place where you can take in the beautiful view while enjoying fine food and drinks. Staff were all friendly and courteous, and helpful. We especially enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning, all included in the price. Not a fancy 5 star hotel, but a very family friendly hotel that we hope to go back to next year.

Our stay at Lanai Beach
A comfortable hotel with sufficiently good amenities, it's a typical Malay-style hotel. Nice pool. The hotel sits right on the white-sandy beach and is last in a row of hotels in Lanai beach, that provides more privacy. The backside of the main building overlooks lushy-green hills which you can do by relaxing on your own balcony. Sufficient choice of breakfast and the food was pretty much delicious.
Here is also some downside: there is no elevator, no helping hand in taking your gear up into your room, rooms are pretty small and its furniture is becoming worn-out. The water in the pool felt pretty cool which may though be pleasing if you're heading there overheated up from the beach. Don't expect much of sunshine up around the pool, due to shadow from hotel buildings and lush palmtrees. The hotel is a bit away from Lanai's main hustle & bustle, so just expect some walk before getting there.

We was rest in this hotel for 7 days and was very pleased with the place of hotel first of all, But the breakfasts was very awful , nothing to eat, I thing if you are taking such money you should make some more for paying people. place is good, food is bad, that is all.

Hotel Lanai is a little bit faded, but retains a lovely feel and a great location beach-wise. Great pool, good food and super friendly and helpful staff. Intend to return next year at the same/similar time. Cenang is a great town to visit.

You should change the price
Well we paid rm250 per night for this hotel and overall, the hotel looks like the Rm150 per night hotel. And worst. That just doesnt worth it. If i know that there are cracks all over, i rather go for cheaper hotel with the same quality. The only good thing about it, it is walking distant to the beach.

Lankawi trip
We had a weekend trip to lankawi and our stay at lanai beach resort was great. The best part of the hotel is the resuturant attached to the beach and a clean swimming pool. the sun set at the beach was the best. there is a good variety of food outlets just at a walkable distance from the hotel with all specialities.. inidan, arabic, chinese, thai ..etc easy taxi service and shopping facility arround. the only minus that we felt was the non avilabitlity of lifts to the 2nd floor though it did not matter a lot.

酒店整体很干净舒服，但是设施有待更新。沙滩是最令人满意的地方，可算是旺中带静。因为旁边的沙滩很热闹，凑完热闹可回来享受另一番宁静。

stay here was quite good. only thing could fault was that they didn't have internet access if you didn't have your own computer. apart from this, all good. access to the beach good and the bar at the beach was great - sunset was great. had to take pity on the cats at the beach as they needed both sympathy and feeding.

As a whole - it's a great place, staff very very friendly and helpful, EXCELLENT location - just at the beach, peace and quiet at the day and night. We tried food in many restaurants outside too, but the best is there in Lanai - a big medal for the cooks there!!!! (One must try Kapitam chicken curry;) )The only thing which should be improved are bathrooms, but it's also managable cos we didnt stay in baths - only outside where great swimming pool is or beautiful beach!!
We would like to come back there!!!!
