First the good points, then what could have been better.
Beautiful resort! Absolutely pretty, in terms of its location and the general "feel" upon reaching it and staying there for 2 nights. The deluxe sea view room was certainly as advertised, facing the Straits of Malacca with a very good view. The swimming pool was well-maintained though it's more of the kind for lounging and casual swims. The location of the resort was rather exclusive, being at the end of the road, and that made it feel like a perfect getaway but not inconvenient to reach. Being next to the jetty was a plus point to take trips out to island hop, through a convenient booking at the activities centre.
Very friendly and approachable staff. It was also very convenient to call a taxi to get around the island as the drivers were always on standby (Only did so in the day and did not try to call one at night, and also to preface that Langkawi has no form of public transport so the only way to get around fast is to drive or to hail taxis).
Now for the not-so-good...
I forgot to print my AsiaRooms confirmation and while the resort had my details and booking, the counter staff insisted I pay for a half-hour internet service to forward my confirmation e-mail to her for printing, as verification. The resort could have been more flexible on this part, by perhaps checking the identity of the traveller through his/her travel documents.
The private beach as advertised by the resort was not very well-maintained. I would advise to skip it for other agenda.
Overall a very enjoyable stay and I would certainly recommend it to others.
