The poorest hotel I ever stay.
I had my holiday at Langkawi on 15th,16th, 17th March 2012. I choose Akasia Hotel as my stay because of the attractive price that suited my budget, but it really disappointed me. First the room light was very dim, the toilet had very strong cockroach smell, no toilet paper, no freezer, no water boiler, no drinking glass, no drinking water..... only provided 1 small soap bar with towel. The worst part is the sleep bed, the spring almost come out from the mattress. This is the first time and the last time for me to stay with Akasia Hotel.

House keeping is so poor and maintenance also not up to the mark. And air con also not proper. Choose it if you are going with friends not for with family.

Great Customer Service
While the hotel itself is a bit run down, the staff was very attentive and pleasant. If you are looking for somewhere close to Kuah at a good price, this will work. Excellent just for a night or two in route to the airport.

It's like a school hostels with a cafeteria renovated to cope with tourists. It's 10 min drive from Jetty, next to a petrol station, quite strategic if you're not fond of rooms by seaside and opt for a 1 or 2 nights cheap stay. RM396 2 night for 2 family rooms. However its value of money spent depends.
When we arrived at 4pm, we were informed both our rooms were under air-conditioning repair and we could only check-in after 6pm(which the check-intime supposed to be after 2pm). We asked for alternate solutions as we needed to put our stuffs and rest for a while after the long drive, after we insisted we got a temporary room.
At evening, we able to move in, room was dirty due to the repair but we managed to have people vacuumed it. The door is kinda difficult to open, 2 queen size bed, one matress is too soft, bedsheet and blanket seemed not so clean, the room looked long not-been-used , just happened to be fill in peak season, TV only provide one channel, astro ria, indeed boring, air-cond is functioning, water heater is alright luckily.
We didnt dine in the cafe and didnt spend much time as accomodation and facilities rather scarce there. Staffs are friendly overall.
