Equatorial hotel is in an excellent location, right in the midst of everything. Also, excellent pool and gym - amongst the best I have seen in SE Asia. Initially given a dark, dingy room but transfer easily arranged to a room with a fantastic view over Malacca town and the sea, with even a view of the fort and St Paul's Hill.
Breakfast and service was very good, and the coffee bar served excellent coffee and cakes, until late in the evening. Food by the pool had to be ordered but service was quick and very efficient.
Overall, this was a very nice hotel to stay in - the only down side being that the room had a dusky odour about it and would benefit by being upgraded.
