Very noisy room
I dislike this hootel apartment. Except for the nice view of the sea, the room is not to my expectation. For the amount paid , I felt the quality should be better. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom is very noisy and the temperature is not comfortable. It is a bit on the high side. (warm). I guess I need to bring in a decibel meter and a thermostat to give you the exact figure. The room is somewhat like a single bed room apartment with a small lounge, a very small CRT TV.. I think its 14 inches. (again, I need a measuring tape for this) The twin bed I had was the smallest possible for I find it dangerous to turn when I am lying on it to try to catch the forty winks on top of the loud noise. I felt sad when I walk from the room along the swiming pool to the lobby for the walk way flooring was run down, with half plastered slab on the ramp area near the lobby. (visible even when you are in the swimming pool). My goodness.. I feel bad writing this review. I guess some major restructuring or renovation is due.

Nice Place For All
The Apartment so nice,clean and comfort,food delicuos then the hotel near shopping complex and history town too..so its so easy to anyone for walk or drive car..So i recmmend this hotel for all..Have Nice Holiday at Mahkota Hotel,Melaka,Malaysia.... :)

surprise that room was not carpeted
the customer service was very warm and friendly however the bell boy was not forthcoming about the taxi service. have to call maintenance a few times bec the flushing system breakdown, water hose broke and have to go to the ironing room, this cause inconvenience. why is the water from the tap milky and brownish? i can recommend the service.

Disoppointed Room
Very disoppointed, the room is quite old, and a little smelly. the pictures in the advertisement are cosy, but the fact is not.

Poor customer service with room amenities not working properly
My family & I stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment (room# 6015) and cleanliness wise, it was ok except for lots of ants crawling around the sink in the kitchen. Amenities wise, air-conditioning in one of the bedrooms was not working & we have to leave the door open to get the air-conditioning from the living area. Bathtub stopper not working so water took a long time to go away from the tub & toilet flush was very weak (need to flush few times). Room makeup not done properly as no towels & toiletries were provided. When we called for Housekeeping, a guy came and just passed all the items to us at doorstep & quickly run off? (poor customer service!) When we check in, counter staff did not bother to explain which way to proceed to the apartments & what does the room number mean (ie. block number, floor level, etc.) & when we asked, she gave us a look as if we are aliens from outer-space.

Mahkota Hotel
I have been in Melaka several times and was always curious about Mahkota Hotel. It looks nice from the outside.
This time I booked myself into the hotel for a long weekend.
The hotel rooms are spacious, only the bathroom was disappointing. It looked really shabby and you can't tell if is clean or not.
During the breakfast peak hour the hotel had problems to serve all their guests. They opened 2 of their restaurants for breakfast, but couldn't provide the food fast enough. So better go for breakfast early.
Anyway, of all the hotels I stayed in Malaysia, this is one of the better ones.

Overall the hotel is idealy located but...
Overall the hotel is idealy located but a please facilitate a crossing for guests to make a trip across the shopping centre safer and pleasant.

The only good thing about this hotel...
The only good thing about this hotel is its location. The room is in a run-down state. The morning breakfast crowd on Sunday was so huge that its service staff were stretched to the fullest and guests had to jostle around!
