This is my 4th time stay in Mahkota Hotel, my family prefers here cos of its convenient location and the hotel rates are very much our budget. The hotel is big and the breakfast spread is good.
Except for the "not so clean" tap water, otherwise my stay had been pleasant.
Gd for families.
Not the best. Ok value for money.
Could be better maintained - fridge not working, room safe was locked/not working/cannot reset. Toilet flush was weak. Shower was shocking and noisy. No extra pillows or blankets. Moderately clean.
Overall the stay was good. When we arrive at the hotel, the room was not ready as they are still in the process of cleaning the room and we have to wait for 2 and the half hours. We arrived at 230pm as the check in was at 2pm. Was dissappointed that the room was not ready when we arrive at the hotel. Even though the receptionist did inform us that it was because of full house the day before so there were not enough staffs to clean the room but it is not acceptable for a 4 star hotel and he says we have to wait at least 1 hr and he can't promised that even in 1 hr. I believe they can do something regarding these next time.
The facilities of the room are not in good conditions. there are some smell in the hotel. It is not value for money compare to the room rates against the room condition.
THE ROOM WAS READY VERY LATE.. AFTER 1 HOUR I PUT MY LUGGAGE, STILL THERE IS NO HOUSEKEEPER TO KEEP THE ROOM.. AN ALSO, I ALREADY REQUEST TO CHECK IN EARLY SINCE MY ELDER SON IS NOT FEELING WELL, VOMIT CONTINUOUSLY IN THE CAR, BUT THEY TOLD US TO COME BACK NEARLY TO NOON.. BY THE TIME, IT WAS NEARLY TO 2 PM, I GET A "CLEAN" ROOM... SHOULD IMPROVE ALOT...

THERE IS SUCH THING AS DO IT YOUR SELF,
THE ROOMS ARE VERY SMALL, WITH LIZARDS
THE BREAKFAST IS ALWAYS LATE.. BREAKFAST STARTS 6:30AM BUT YOU CAN ONLY EAT AT 7:00AM

THE RATES ARE CHEAP BECAUSE IT IS REALLY CHEAP THERE'S NO CLASS.
Checking in at the hotel takes a long time as there is only 1 counter available for checking in. Hence a long queue during my checking in.
Swimming pool is clean and nice. Room is not up to my expectation .It looks a bit old and need to be re-furnished. Air con control button was spoilt and 1 of my room was very cold throughout the whole nite. Living room no air con control panel. Hence living room was very hot.
This will be the last choice for me if i am ever going to stay in Malacca.
I was abit disappointed with the room service, I requested for some pillows and blankets, but they told me. No more...
Maybe the hotel would like to prepare more for the guests as the aircon temp is unadjustable to the comfortable temp.
