Location is excellent with two large, attractive swimming pools. Rooms however are a disgrace.
Shabby decor and furnishings, bath taps cemented in place by someone slapping handfuls of filler around them, a shower that took 10 minutes of coaxing (and enough water hammer to wake the dead) to get working, a room safe that had been left locked by a previous occupant and was unusable, and a bathroom door rotten at the bottom, to list but a few shortcomings. Half of the TV channels had reception too poor to watch, and there were no international channels (BBC, CNN, etc). And no internet. Worst of all though, an electrical terminal box above the safe with a cover that had broken and been stuck on again (very shoddily) with sticky tape. The cover fell off during the evening, leaving exposed mains wiring fully accessible.
Finally, in 25 years of travelling I have never been in a hotel where you need to switch on an immersion heater 10 minutes before having a shower!
