They need to refurbish the whole place. Paying over Rm300 for such a place is totally not worth at all

No longer worth the money.

I booked 2 rooms, asking for high level but instead was given 2 corner rooms on the 1st level. That's not all. The rooms were probably repainted recently and the whole living room area was reeking of the smell of fresh paint. It was quite unbearable to a certain extent. We had to open the balcony windows to air the living room. The carpets in the rooms were old and they had a musty smell in it. My room even had sharp objects in the carpet near the door. I assume its the tip of the nails or staples that they had used to keep the carpet in place. I was pricked several times by it. Although it was not serious, I could still feel the pain each time I stepped on it. Next up was the toilets, somehow my bath tub was leaking at some place so each time after somebody had bathed, the toilet floor would be wet. The bathroom mat that was placed in the toilet to dry your feet would be soaked in water. The bath tub drainage hole seems partially choked as well because the water was going down at a super slow rate. The water in the bath tub would accumulate till around your ankle. The aircon in the rooms were also super noisy and you can't alter the temperature of the aircon in the living room. The TV had goods channels but one of the TV in the rooms had images that would jump every other minute. Quite irritating at times. Another minus point is the service at the convenience store in the hotel. I rushed there wanting to buy some water and playing cards but was rejected by the lady inside who said the store was closed even though the time was 10.20pm and the store was supposed to close at 10.30pm. I had to drive out again just to buy my stuff. Overall the experience is getting worse as this was my 3rd visit to the hotel. Would probably consider other hotels next time unless looking for apartment style rooms again.

Generally the room is good except few items that below expecting such as air con is too noisy and water pressure is too low and unable to have a proper shower.

Good location but the rooms need to have a facelift

Though the hotel is located in a strategic location in Melaka, the hotel rooms and amnities need to be upgraded as they look old. Besides that the water in the bathroom is very slow and it took longer to clean. Hope they can improve it.

Not worth staying at hotel apartment

location is not near to interesting place althouh map shows quite near. If taking taxi,need to go big round due to one way traffic. Need to cross the road to shopping mall, Unlike equatorial hotel, shopping is very convenient. Swimming pool at apartment yellowish,looks dirty. Wash basin chokage,toilet bowl flushing very slow. Internal building need renovate.Price of$588 for 2 nights definately priced too high. Breakfast provided free but not tasty,only tay tireh was good.not recommended to those with high expectation guest.

The hotel environment n location over all is very good, the breakfast is nice n hv quite a variety. The car park lots got alot also. Just that the hotel/rooms is abit old n the toilet is very noisy at night, don't know the water dripping or what that made like drumming n is loud esp at night. value for money/location

First of all, I was very disappointed cos it seems the hotel never rcvd my booking made online with asiarooms.com. As a result I was given a 1st level room n not facing the seaview as I had requested. The hotel location is very strategic. It's very near shopping ctr n foodcourts n tourist attractions. The hotel room is small n carpet needs to be changed cos it gives a certain unpleaant smell . Other than these comments, the hotel is reasonably a good place to stay for holiday.

Anyone intending to travel to Melaka,Malaysia should seriously consider the Mahkota hotel. Centrally located, its convenient and value for money for families. We got a 2 bedroom apartment for four and i'm very pleased with the hotel staff service and various facilities. However, the tap water has a rusty yellow colour that made me hesitate using it. Despite that, I would probably chose mahkota again if I were to travel there again.

It would be great if they include the utensils and dishwashing liquid in suites. Also the balcony of the suites, lots of cigarette butts uncleared. Also, the hotel do not provide iron in the room but expect guests to go to their iron room located at ground floor of hibiscus block which I find it ridiculous. But overall, its a fairly good hotel to stay at just need a bit of tidying to be carried out.
